Sorry I'm Slow!

Whew what a week! That always happens to me when I make a promise to myself to up my own writing game. Suddenly all kinds of things jump out at me to distract. Ack! But I'm going to be hard at it tomorrow and this weekend. I love my story idea and I have great friends who want to find out what happens. I've got most of it all plotted out in my head, but now I need to put words to the page! So much easier said than done!

But this year I am determined to hang in there with the National Novel Writing month! It's so much fun to follow #NanoWriMo on twitter and see how many others are going for the same goal of completing the basics of their novel in a month. Some of the words counts are already so impressive.

Yes I finished "The Exiled Queen" and you know what? I adored it even more than "The Demon King." Chima found such an excellent groove with her characters. The writing is more assured and the pace just sings. I am more in love with Han than ever. But I'm too tired to write a full review tonight so hang in there with me.

Here is what I've been chewing on lately...how fantasy writing, just like the fairy tales of old, allows us to tackle the challenges of our age in a way that we can look at them without our normal prejudices and assumptions.
