My name is Melissa Balmer and I'm a writer, ideator, and creative P.R. strategist. Quite a mouthful, I know. In a nutshell, I help small companies create personal branding to focus their message and get the good word out in interesting, stylish, creative, and community supportive ways. I'm all about creating serendipity, synchronicity and sizzle.
This site is called "Maitri Quest" after the Tibetan Buddhist concept of "Maitri," known as "loving kindness" or "unconditional friendliness." I have found that by using the idea of Maitri, and also another Buddhist concept of the "Beginner's Mind" my networking, social media skills, and creative thinking flow easily and naturally, and I am delighted by the rich and rewarding results for myself and my clients.
